Personally shot by aerial photographer Matthew Philip on a DJI Mavic 4 Pro. Its 100MP Hasselblad camera resolves remarkable detail — the jetty holds definition right out to the vanishing point, even printed at large statement sizes.

At 1.8 kilometres, Busselton Jetty is the longest timber-piled jetty in the southern hemisphere.

Most people pack up when the sun goes. The ten minutes after are usually better — the heat comes out of the colour, the bay goes silver-blue, and everything settles.

I kept the drone up and shot straight down the line of the jetty. From this angle it stops being a landmark and becomes a line, running dead straight out until it simply disappears into the haze. The boat sheds down in the corner are the only thing still holding any warmth.

Shot on a DJI Mavic 4 Pro with the 100MP Hasselblad camera. Low light after sunset is where sensors start to fall apart. This one keeps the jetty defined all the way to the vanishing point with no noise in the flat water around it.
